Father's Day!

Last weekend was Brian's first Father's Day! We had a nice, relaxing day. Ella even let us get through a nice, sit-down dinner without a fuss! Brian wanted a good steak, so after a great dinner at Outback, he was a happy guy. The day before Father's Day, we experienced our first trip to the mall to get professional pictures done. We went to The Picture People. Ella did wonderful. We'll share those when we can. In the mean time, here are the latest shots of our little princess! ;)
Posing with Daddy! When she's in a good mood, you just have to grab the camera and take advantage! She thought Daddy's tickling was funny.
Can't forget a good pose with Mommy! Say cheese!
Such hard thought and determination while playing!
Showing off that red fuzz and baby blues...
Loving a nice hug from Daddy!

Funny Girl!

The past few weeks are been full of fun! It's amazing how big our little girl is getting. It definiately changes things were she can start to respond to your smile, your laugh, or your tickle. She's been a handful, but worth every minute of it! Here's some of our favorite pics in the past two weeks....
Chilling out on Mommy and Daddy's bed... We're working on figuring out how to sit "lady like" ... right now, the dress is more of a chew toy! Everything goes in the mouth. :)
Last week, we went to visit Ro & Kelli. While we were eating dinner, Ella decided to relax and watch a little TV. Ella can't wait to have a new friend... Laela should be here any day now! We can't wait!
Okay, so we know we've already shown you guys a picture of our little night time escape artist, but it's SO funny, we had to show it again. Yep. she somehow decided that she didn't like the gown we put her in. She was warm and cozy, but the bedtime fairy decided to change that!

New Milestones!

Ella's had some new milestones the past week or so that we wanted to share. She's starting to hold her head up on her own with out bobbing. So we wanted to see if she would like the bumbo seat. She didn't know what to do about it at first but then started looking around and laughing! Of course she is starting to laugh and respond to us more. She now starts to cry when she sees mommy leave the room. I'm not sure if I am ready for that yet. She smiles at us every morning when she wakes up, but then two minutes later she is wailing because she just realized she is hungry. At least she is happy for a little bit. Ella is starting to find her hands. She loves to suck and chew on them. Anything that is in her hand is also finding a way into her mouth. Another thing that we do everyday is "tummy time". She used to HATE it, screaming seconds after she was put down and she let you know about for the next ten minutes. The boppy pillow helps because she can see the TV then! She follows the things on TV for a few minutes but will keep looking back if something catches her eye. She loves talking more to us (we're trying to understand her language!), but it is so cute that we have a conversation especially when the diaper needs changing or just after eating. She is also trying to roll over on her own. She was down on her mat playing and the next thing I know she is on her side just talking away to her bunny. I don't think she quite understands that she can keep going if she moves her arm but it won't be long before she does! She needs to quit growing up SO fast. I'm not sure Mommy and Daddy are ready for this already! :) Figuring out this Bumbo thing... Goofy girl giving Daddy a smile! Posing with Daddy... Trying to get used to "tummy time" Smiling for Mommy in the swing...

Three Months!

Last week, Ella had two special moments. First, she turned 3-months old on the 5th! (Already!) We had to take some pictures of her to capture it, of course! Also, she laughed for the first time at something (also on her birthday)! We found out that Ella was fascinated seeing "the other baby" in the mirror and that it was going to get her! Before we knew it, she was laughing out loud! Now she is starting to laugh at every little funny face she sees. It was the cutest thing ever... she's getting SO big, SO fast! Showing off Mommy's favorite dress... Like my new shoes? :) Love the baby blues! "Geez... more pictures?"

Graduation Day

On Saturday evening, Brian and I went to Denison... about a hour north of home. It was Ella's first long car ride, so we were concerned about how she'd do. She did an awesome job! When we met Brian's Dad, Step-Mom, and brother, we all decided to go to dinner. She got a little fussy, but for the most part, we had a nice meal. After that, we got ready to go to Chris's high school graduation. It was an outdoor graduation ceremony, so we were wondering how Ella would do. She behaved herself until he crossed the stage and then... not so much. With air horns blowing, people yelling and clapping... it became a little too much for her. So, we had to leave the bleachers and head home. At least we got to visit with them before the ceremony and see Chris cross the stage. Once we got in the car, we were fine... until we hit McKinney. Then, it was time to be changed and eat. Ninety minutes later, we finally got back home. At least it led to a great night sleep for her... and US! :) Cathy, Chris, and John... posing before the ceremony Getting ready to leave... Hanging out with Grandpa John... Mama's pride and joy!

Funny Faces!!!

Past couple of weeks, we've caught some funny faces and wanted to share them. Here are some of our favorites! :) Show me that goofy smile! Showing Daddy those Baby Blues! Having fun on her mat.... And about to burst! (love the pouty lip) Talking to Mommy!

Doctor Day...

On Tuesday, we went to see the doctor. Nothing bad, just checking to make sure an infection she had was gone. It was, so it definitely made us feel better. We found out our little girl is now 10 pounds 10 ounces and 24 inches long! She's grown so much already! Brian was able to grab his phone and take some cute pictures! Enjoy! :) Posing for Daddy! She thought something was funny!!! Waiting patiently for Dr. Aaron...

Escape Artist!

SO... here's the night time rountine. Ella got a warm bath, a set of her favorite pajamas, and all wrapped up in her blanket... nice and tight. (So we thought!) After Brian read her some bedtime stories, it was off to bed. Somewhere between the middle of the night and 6am, she decided to pull a stunt on us! Imagine leaning over the crib to see your baby's smiling face and finding her latest escape attempt! :) It was SO funny. Of course, the first thing we thought of was... "Quick, grab the camera!" "Can't a girl get some help around here?" "What's the big deal about?"

Memorial Day weekend!

Memorial Day weekend was very exciting for Ella. The weather was wonderful, so it was a perfect day for a picnic in the park. We decided to load up the car, grab the Grandparents, some good food, and head to a nearby park. We ate by a pond, checking out the ducks and dogs playing in the water. Ella loves being outside! She had a great time! She laughed, cooed, and enjoyed being the center of attention on the picnic blanket. It was the first time in the stroller without the car seat... she didn't seem to mind - too much! "Someone get me out of this stroller!" Nothing like a soft picnic blanket... Showing off her new hat... Posing for a close up! Playing around with Grandpa Rod and Grandma Dawn

Play date with Hudson

Since my friend Dena and I haven't seen each other as much since we both became Moms, it was time we got the kids together! Ella is almost 3 months and Hudson is a little over 9 months... tell the difference! :) They've seen each other several times, but we never had a camera around. Time to get some pics of their play date! Ella is still trying to understand her surroundings... Hudson is intrigued by his new buddy! Even looking concerned after she's been crying. So sweet! :) Smile for the camera, kiddos! Trying to hold hands! :)
